R.STAT/N (nylon)

R.STAT/N fibres are composed of polyamide 6.6 with a layer 0.2 microns thick of conductive copper sulphide fused by chemical process into the outer skin of the fibre, which has a reddish brown colour in its final form. The layer of copper sulphide is intimately integrated into the polymer ensuring a permanent resistance to the usual wear conditions.

R.STAT/N fibres combine :

• an excellent electrical conductivity : 10 5 ohm/cm
• a permanent retention of these properties

• excellent textile characteristics

Application of R.STAT/N

Introduction rate

R.STAT/N fibres should be used in a blend form. Generally 1 to 2 % of R.STAT/N fibres are sufficient in a textile material to grant it excellent antistatic properties.

Resistance

R.STAT/N fibres

R.STAT/N fibres have been subject to series of tests reproducing real conditions of use with acceleration effect. R.STAT/N fibres keep their original conductivity after several years under normal conditions of humidity and temperature. Light has no effect on this behaviour at all.

R.STAT/P fibres

R.STAT/P (Polyester)

R.STAT/P fibres are composed of high tenacity polyester with a layer 0.2 microns thick of conductive copper sulphide fused by chemical process into the outer skin of the fibre, which has a golden colour in its final form. The layer of copper sulphide is intimately integrated into the polymer ensuring a permanent resistance to the usual wear conditions.

R.STAT/P fibres combine :

• an excellent electrical conductivity :
10 4 ohm/cm
• a permanent retention of these properties
• excellent textile characteristics

Resistance

R.STAT/P fibre are especially designed for gas filtration. They resist particularly long exposures to high temperatures (100°C) as well as to acid hydrolysis. Light has no effect on this behaviour at all.
